Played a game combining soccer and math with each kick at her dad's: took turns being kicker and goalie. Start out with a certain number of kicks, 5 or 10. Then after each try, ask Mara what number we were on and how many we had left. If she wasn't able to tell me automatically, she would hold up the number of fingers representing the initial number of kicks, then take away fingers for each number of kicks she had tried until she got to the right number.
Read chapters 5-8 in The Wheel on the School. What a beautiful story so far. Mara is enjoying this book very much. We've just nearly gotten half way through the book and Mara wants me to read the story in all of our spare time!
Elinor tirelessly is learning how to crawl now in forward motion.
