Writing: cardinal, nuthatch, dove, pine cone, fiffer-feffer-feff, Beautiful schlop with a cherry on top. 

(Mara is enjoying picking out and writing her favorite bits from Dr. Suess books to celebrate the author's birthday.)

Number Sense: Use our sculpted numbers for a blind folded number identification game, using sense of touch identify numbers. 

Then we used our small sculpted balls to play More, Less or Equal game: dividing the balls up in two groups each organized in different patterns the object is to decide which group has more, less or if they are equal.

Geography: A friend of our is up North in Alaska. We spent a good amount of time talking about what direction it is to get there by looking at a map. We looked at pictures and talked about animals and people native to the area.
