Math: Workbook: Review of writing numbers 7 and 8. Worked on word/number/quantity association and circling groupings with more than/less than.

Hooked on Phonics: Used the CD to get through the 'boring' parts and she reread books 16 and 17 - She did a great job inflecting her voice using the punctuation to express the author's elements of surprise and anticipation within the story.

Easter Eggs - This was a great exercise in story telling. Mara loved the numbered eggs with little clues inside each one to remind her about the whole story of the Last Supper, through the Crucifixion to the Resurrection of Christ. I think we'll plan on doing Easter cookies Saturday night and decorate eggs on Saturday evening.

Little House on the Prairie Chapters 13, 14, 15

Walking trip to the library to drop off books and pick up new ones.

Plant our sprouting seeds - Mara made a small sign for her bedroom door to remind herself to water her flowers each morning.

While the girls were napping, I began making 'preschool activity bags' to tuck away for a (much) later day... I used paint swatches I picked up at Valdemart and small colored clothes pins. Elinor will be able to sort and match colors in their color families.
