13. In Luke 23:41-43, what did Jesus say to the thief hanging next to him? Why
would he say that?
       “Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” The
thief believed that Jesus is the Son of God.

14. Why was it so important that Jesus’ body be taken off of the cross and

       It was important because the Sabbath began that night at sundown.

       Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not

have told you.

19. What were the soldiers paid to say about Jesus’ body? Why?
       The soldiers were paid large amounts of money to say that Jesus’ body
had been stolen, because this would discredit the women that were
telling of the angel, and that Jesus had risen from the dead.

20. After his resurrection, what did Jesus tell His disciples to do?
      All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and
teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even
unto the end of the world. Amen.
