As far as curriculum for next term is concerned, we'll be briefly looking back into the ancients over some of the Eastern cultures we skimmed past, but we won't focus there all term. We'll be moving into the Middle Ages and I think we'll be doing a little bit of a focus on illuminated manuscripts. Mara recently watched The Secret of Kells and loved it. She wants the actual Book of Kells (Do I tell her fat chance?). Maybe coloring books with interesting geometric patterns would be a good idea. (I'll have to check out what they have at United Art when I get back home.)
