Tuesday:
We finished up A Cricket in Times Square by George Seldon.
We made a bug classification envelope for ongoing learning and did some reading about bugs.
Wednesday:
Ladybug poetry
We sorted through the different orders of insects and looked at plenty of pictures of bugs. Mara recognized the order of insects that ladybugs belong to.
She will be using her bug net and viewer to collect a few bugs this afternoon and try to classify them by their order.
She is working on addition problems with sums less than 10 from her Math Steps workbook.
Mara is reading Inch by Inch by Leo Lionni out loud, and doing fun bug coloring pages. I am reading Why Mosquitoes buzz in Peoples ears by Verna Aardema.
