Week 1

Hoorah! We are finally able to begin our school year. Mara (and I) couldn't be more pleased.

History
A Child's History of the World:  Chapters 1-5
We are really trying to take it slow with this book, as we'd like to digest the content. We are discussing the ancients cultures that grew from the Euphrates, Tigris, Niles, Indus and Huang rivers. Mara will be taking a look at what Cuneiform writing looks like and making a letter to a couple friends back home using these ancient symbols. We will also be visiting a local museum to look at weapons and things made during the bronze age in the Mesopotamia area.
